Blacklist Check

See if your domain or mail server is on an email blacklist.

What does all this mean?

This tool checks whether a domain’s IP addresses - or an IP you enter - appear on the public email blacklists (DNSBLs) that inbox providers consult before accepting your mail.

What is a blacklist, in one minute?

A DNSBL is a published list of IPs known for sending spam or abuse. Mail servers check incoming mail’s source IP against these lists; a listing can send your email to spam or get it rejected.

Which lists do we check?

We check SpamCop, SORBS, UCEPROTECT-1, PSBL, Mailspike, DroneBL, s5h, Blocklist.de, NiX Spam, SPFBL, Anonmails, and WPBL.

We check the blacklists that answer reliably from a public DNS service. Spamhaus and Barracuda require a registered query service and are planned for a future upgrade.

I’m listed - what now?

First find the source of the listing. It is often a compromised device, a bad mailer, or a shared-host neighbor. Fix that root cause, then use each list’s delisting or removal page.

Low-quality lists, such as UCEPROTECT, can list broad ranges and may matter less than reports-driven lists like SpamCop. When email reputation is at stake, an audit can find the root cause.
